All Jack Tighe Ltd operatives received a site induction from Amco to ensure safe working practices and site minimum PPE requirements are complied with. Access to the works were via fully fixed encapsulated scaffolding supplied by the client.

The Specification Procedure was as follows: –

M34-210 Specification – Designated Trackside Works

• Fresh water wash down to remove all contaminants and loose/flaky coatings.
• Hand prepare to BS7079: Part A1 Standard St3.
• Brush apply Jotamastic 87 Glass Flake to achieve 250 microns dry film thickness (360 wet film thickness).
• Brush apply one coat Hardtop XP finish coat to achieve 50 microns dry film thickness (90 wet film thickness)

XM92/M20-148 Specification – Underside

• Fresh water wash down the steelwork to remove all contaminants.
• Blast clean to BS7079: Part A1 Standard Sa2½.
• Apply one coat of RT item 7.1.5 Jotamastic 80 Aluminium to achieve 100 microns dry film thickness (125 wet film thickness).
• Apply stripe coat of RT item 7.1.6 Jotamastic 80 colour to all edges, bolts, etc.
• Apply one coat of RT item 7.1.6 Jotamastic 80 colour to achieve 100 microns dry film thickness (125 wet film thickness).
• Apply one coat of RT item 7.3.1 Hardtop XP Gloss to achieve 50 microns dry film thickness (80 wet film thickness).
