As a responsible contractor, we ensure all our projects leave a positive social, economic and environmental legacy. We are committed to delivering a quality service while keeping our workforce and the public safe.

In terms of health and safety, we have taken the following steps to reduce risk on our sites:

  • Investing in skills training and competency development
  • Improving our SSIP accreditation to CHAS Premier Plus
  • Completing Take 5 cards on all contracts
  • Continuing the roll-out of our behavioural safety initiative
  • Training two members of staff as mental health first aiders

All Companies within the Tighe Group hold the ISO 14001 accreditation. We minimise our impact on the environment, both at site and office levels, by focusing on fuel efficiency, energy conservation, recycling and carbon reduction.

Our skilled and professional teams complete works of a high quality, as shown by our ISO 9001, National Highways Sector Scheme 19A, Constructionline Gold and Achilles Building Confidence accreditations. A significant part of our business comes from repeat work, suggesting that clients are confident in our ability to meet their expectations.

We recognise our responsibility to support the communities local to our works. We do this by providing apprenticeships, sponsoring sports teams and local events, and supporting local projects which bring the community together.
