Site applied coatings

While we often work as a subcontractor on highway projects, we have undertaken the role of Principal Contractor on numerous occasions, working directly for North Yorkshire County Council, Doncaster MBC, Gloucestershire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire County Councils amongst others. We frequently incorporate scaffolding, encapsulation, steel and concrete repairs into our scope, using contractors from our approved supply chain. Previous projects include:

  • Gade Valley Viaduct on the M25 (Osborne)
  • Trafford Arch (JC Decaux)
  • Ball Street Bridge and Abyssinia Bridge (Henry Boot, Sheffield Highways)
  • A1 Alnwick (Interserve)
  • Tame Valley Viaduct A38 Aston Expressway (HS Carlsteel)
  • Intake Bridge and Grove Park subway (Doncaster Council)
  • Yarmouth Bridge, Isle of Wight (Island Roads)

Shop applied coatings

We operate one of the largest blasting and coating facilities in the UK; this means we are able to clean and paint significant highway structures such as bridges and sign gantries. Previous works include:

  • Sign gantries for the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon, M23 Junctions 8 to 10 and M20 Junctions 3 to 5 (Briton Fabricators)
  • Curved footbridge over the A19 (Briton Fabricators)
  • Chiltern Gardens footbridge, M60 gantries and platforms at Rushden Lakes (Nusteel)
  • A391 Carluddon Road bridge (CTS Bridges)
  • A52 Wyvern Way, A406 Iron Bridge and Taplow Bridge over the River Thames (SH Structures)
